    So, I am looking for opel engine - code - z14xep engine head, thats 1.4 engine.

    so are alot of people they are like hens teeth.

    you could try south side spares in dun laoghaire they have a place in the north and bring parts down 01 2804177

    I might be up in the yard tomorrow, I'll have a gander and see if the Astras have petrol engines. The guy who runs the yard wouldn't charge much for a whole engine :)

    yea, let me know, if youll find . owner want to do silly things.... weld the head.... cos welding is few hundred cheaper than good head.... let me know what prices there.

    So, i have an update .

    Owner brought that head, over to some workshops, which diagnosed , that head is ok, was skimmed ,

    Put back head on engine with all new gaskets and new water pump. All working fine.

    Dont know why people want get rid of cars, which made a trouble for them, but at the end successfully fixed. ... trading in for unknown condition car. ?

    I would stick to that car, as it was perfectly fixed, with many new internals. ...

    If anyone was curious, a head would have set back roughly £150
