Has anyone been to the above. If so could I gave some opinions. Which village of the ten or so is the most central, lively for après by French standards etc

I was there about 3 years ago and stayed in plagne center. Wasn't a lot happening apres ski wise, but the resort itself was enjoyable for a (lower at the time) intermediate skier.

We stayed in the terra nova hotel, food was good, rooms were OK and location to the slope was perfect, you walked out of the boot room and onto the slope.

There used to be a bit of a flat area in plagne center, but I think they have reprofiled it over the summer this year.

Was there a number of years ago and stayed in Les Coches. It was very quiet at night with not much going on.

There was a long blue run down to Les Coches at 1450 metres but it was in the shade of the mountain all day and was very icy as a result. Could be a bit of a heart breaker if you were snowboarding down after a long day.

Once you get up the ski lifts up there was some really nice runs, and you link between each village across the mountain. You tended to be out for the day because Les Coches really was out an island out on it's own and you had to keep an eye on the skilift closing times or you could end up stranded.

I wouldn't have a problem going back to the resort but would look to stay somewhere more central in future.
