How ye lads, was browsing a few of the other forums and some of them have a weekly "feature" thread where one regular poster goes under the spotlight so to speak - other posters can post them any question they like and the poster then gives their answers (with a few rules such as nothing too personal and the questions should be in some way related to the subject matter of the forum).

I fully support this idea. The PW Forum seems to be a bit of a community anyway rather than just a standard forum. Lot of us would know each other from events, Facebook, Twitter etc.

I'd like to see it start with the 10 questions from Inside The Actor's Studio, and then follow up with the rest from boardsies.

1. What is your favorite word?

2. What is your least favorite word?

3. What turns you on?

4. What turns you off?

5. What sound do you love?

6. What sound do you hate?

7. What is your favorite curse word?

8. What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?

9. What profession would you not like to do?

10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?

I'd love this! I agree with mitch on the "inside the actors studio" format. I've always wanted to do it but alas, NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR!

I approve this idea and would do it myself though I fear my answers to mitch's questions may not be the most interesting, would like if there was atleast 1 PW question too even if its an abstract one like which past or present wrestler do you associate most with and why?

Ah jaysus no they're just a sample starter in case the thread doesn't get a lot of questions.

Most of these type of threads suggest no questions on the forum topic, but I suggest any questions at all (within everyone's common sense).

So maybe to balance it out have 10 pw related questions?
Maybe some really outlandish ones, not a simple favourite wrestler type question.

So shall we suggest some PW related questions? Maybe try to make them a bit personal (in the context of wrestling) i.e.:

- Why did you start following wrestling regularly?

- Favourite wrestling memory from when you were younger?

- Ever give up watching at some point? If yes, what brought you back?

Well you can safely assume some basic ones would carry over e.g. favourite film or tv show and why.

We know enough to be able to ask specific ones though like "MichKoobski why in name of Vince McMahon do you like The Miz so much?"

Am I to expect an evening with Diabhal Beag who'd be mulling over a glass of wine...tbh there is more of a chance that i'd pay 100 quid for that than to do so for Bret Hart.

Well the questions are just whatever questions people ask. We've all got commons sense and the user doesn't have to answer every single question. They get to answer what they want.

For default questions I suggest:

Favourite Wrestler:
Favourite Move:
Favourite TV Show:
Favourite Movie:

Having as few default questions as we can will open up the thread to more posts.

So basically it would be down to a neutral Mod (Mods can take part too!) to start the thread and stick it and off we go!

Just pulling these straight from other examples.

Rules:
1. Questions should be Pro Wrestling related although some leeway is allowed e.g. TV and Film interests (Stuff we all talk about in the Off-Topic Thread)
2. Let's not have questions that are too personal. The poster doesn't have to answer anything they don't want to.
3. Moderator has final decision on what questions are appropriate or deemed too personal or unrelated.
4. No discussion of poster's answers in the thread
5. Only the poster should be answering the questions.

Default/Sample Questions
What got you into Pro Wrestling in the first place?
What keeps you interested in it?
How did you come across the PW forum on Boards?
What keeps you coming back to the forum?
What other big interest do you have outside of Pro Wrestling?
What wrestler/story/moment do you feel had the greatest impact on you as a fan?
Where did your username come from?

I think the best way to proceed with this is I'll PM the next poster who volunteered to be in the Spotlight in this thread to mke sure they're still up for it and then I'll start a new thread for them every week. Maybe we can use this as the sign up thread so throw your name in here if you haven't already done so and are up for it. We could also use this thread for discussion of people's answers or suggestions for ways to make it better?

grames_bond will be next and I'm waiting to hear from him that he's still on for it. In the meantime the current thread will be live for a few more days.

Could a Mod edit in "Sign Ups/Discussion" into the thread title to make it clear for people? Cheers lads.
