Nissan Micra window regulators w/o motors

    Hi all.

I've got a 2000 Nissan Micra GX (shows up as Micra K11 on parts sites), you know the ones.

Left it into a garage this morning, with the windows falling out of the doors and he tells me the regulators are gone in the windows, which I suspected. He's quoting me €200 a door to fix (€155 for part and €45 for labour), which I have absolutely no intention of paying. The motor still seems to be working as I know they go up and down and it's making motory sounds when you push the window button.

Looking around online, I can't find any regulators on eBay, and all other sites seem to have them with motors only, which I don't need. Granted, it's porbably easier just to buy the whole lot together, but it's jacking up the price obviously.

So I guess my question is would I be better off trying the scrapyards in Summerhill or Finglas, or have I completely missed some site that I can get them off without motors?

He only has 1 reg for a 5 door and says that they are different to the 3 door one's, sorry about that but worth a shot, hope you get sorted ;)

    Cheers anyway.

I might have a lead on getting new ones at cost if I can ever find my VIN. Don't know where my log book is.

VIN number should be on the fire wall on a metal plate

Have you the ability to fit them yourself? A €105 premium to have a brand new one fitted over a €50 second hand one plus €45 fitting would probably be worth it.

It seems I have to get the whole lot as a unit, so I'm able to get one for the driver door and one for the passanger door, brand new at cost. Then i've got a lad who'll fit them for 20 beans.

A lot better than the €200 a door I was originally quoted.

i worked as auto glazier for 10 years and seen plenty of micra,s do this and very rarely was it the reg.there is two plastic lugs glued onto the glass that bolt onto the reg ,and what happens is they cum off the glass .all it takes is clean out old glue with a stanley knife and put new sealer in them put window up fo 12 hours job done cost is 8 euro for a tube of sealer.get your lad to check this before you buy new parts.in this pic look at the two lugs on the bottom of glass http://www.ebay.ie/itm/NISSAN-MICRA-1998-3-DOOR-DRIVER-SIDE-FRONTWINDOW-GLASS-FREE-P-P-/261072655724#ht_1382wt_1022

The plastic lugs are definitely on there good and proper, but thanks for the heads up anyway.
