Wine for a party

Having a crowd of about 50 for a party on Saturday and I am looking for wine bargains to get them sozzled. Would I be able to find anything decent for €5 a bottle. They are mostly red wine drinkers. I am raging that I did not buy the Eaglehawk that Tesco were selling for €5 a couple of months ago. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

LIDL do a few passable wines at very reasonable prices. Are you cooking or is it just a few drinks?

Ah sure I'd have to feed them ! Doing a big loin of roast pork with caramelised apples on top, a hot chicken/chorizo/tomato mix and a variety of salady things and fancy breads. My son is also doing trays of sushi to hand around.
