    Hi guys,

    Anyone any idea what's going on here.. In the last few days this has seemed to start happening:

    I'm doing 35mph ish in fourth gear, I then put my foot on the clutch and break and go into third at around 25-30mph. The rev's then go to nearly 0 and the car feels shuddery and as if it's going to cut out, the steering also becomes heavy. It also seems to happen sometimes when I'm coming to a halt - going from second into first and stopping.

    This started a few days ago, doesn't happen all the time, but is happening enough to have me worried. I was told to give it another few days and that it might be dirty petrol, but I got more petrol today and it's still happening. Oh also it seems sometimes when I go to accelerate it chucks into acceleration - again, not all the time.

    Obviously if it persists I'm going to get it looked at, but has anyone any ideas of what it could be in the mean time?

    No, nothing like that comes on, just goes all shuddery and rev's go to 0.. then as I said it can be shuddery accelerating through the gears sometimes - only started happening the last few days. I look after it well, always serviced on time, new tyres got etc and never had any problems. Does it sound like something serious?
