Audi a3.... air sound when I pump the brakes while stopped....

    this sound is happening while stopped at lights with the engine running.
    Any ideas what it might be?
    Hopefully nothing expensive, dont think I can take another big expense at the moment. :mad:

    Its 2004, 1.6 petrol. The newer shape if that makes sense.

    It may be perfectly normal, it's the servo venting.

    I wouldn't really "hope for the best" when it comes to brakes. If you are unsure, get someone that knows to have a look at it.Chances are if there is nothing wrong with it it won't cost much if anything.

    Point taken. Was on a good long spin tonight and they seem fine, its just I dont recall noticing that air sound before.
