My JSA claim is currently being processed. I was told it will be backdated to the date I applied. The thing is, I contacted them as soon as I was out of work but I had to wait about two weeks for a form from my employer before I could actually submit my claim. They were aware of this. Would I also be entitled to those weeks?

You need to make sw aware of this and ask for it to be backdated to the first day of unemployment. It is then up to the deciding officer whether to allow backdating.
