I think it is every 60k miles or 5 years on them, which ever comes first.

They have revised the mileage interval upwards for the later 1.9TDI engines. For that car I think it is 150,000km or 4 years, whichever comes first.

My dad had his 2009 1.9TDi belt replaced after 150K at the start of this year.

4 years, if thats the interval for VAG, I think i'll stick with Ford.
Definitley somethign I will look at if I consider a replacement.
I dont do as much mileage but I thought service intervals were getting longer not shorter, but certainly not significantly shorter.
I got mine done at a main dealer (about the only thing I would) because of problems I heard with people I knew who went to Indy mechanics, I know one Independant guy wont do them at all.

Mine was at 100k miles on a ford when it was ten years old, only then did I hear the interval had been shortened to 80k , luckily I got away with it but the car wasn't worth much then if it clapped anyway.
    I'll take 8 years over 4.

Thanks for the replies. I've been told "it vary's between 120K and 200k", which doesn't really help much.
