If your long term unemployed husband has left + insisted the children spend 3 days/ nights with him.+ has applied for the Childrens allowance to be paid to him and wants the wife to pay maintenance to him. What rights does the wife have re seeing what his income is and what state benefits he gets; so that she can calculate this from what he is demanding she pay him from her salary?
    Please.
And how exactly can she find this out.?
No success so far despite a year trying + still paying him + for both mortgages too.
    Tkxs.

It's not for you to review his finances and decide. That's the court's job.

look up welfare.ie and you will see the rates paid to social welfare. he is getting 188 anyway-if the kids arent living with him full time he wont be getting paid for them same with the childrens allowancs, its who the kids are with most of the time gets paid.

another option is to contact social welfare and inform them what you are giving and paying, they may not be aware.

Would the husband not receive half rate per child (not sure but about 15 euro per child) on top of his unemployment?

She needs a solicitor. Is there no separation agreement which defined the children's primary home? Has she seen an affadvaitt of means from him?

No - shes trying to be fair + doing it on trust .

As their finances - ie tax liabilities and credits - are still tied together by their marriage status is there a way she can get visibility on what he is claiming/ recieving.?

Try the legal forum http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=633 but as said above she needs legal advice.
