upgrade galaxy note (n7000) to Jelly Bean?

As per the title, I'm wondering if this is now possible? I've checked via settings => update - but it says no update available. - Is this update now available? - If so, does it only apply to phones that are rooted? How do I go about getting the phone rooted?

This is an excellent video guide on root a Note n7000, I used it myself and it worked without any problem. Just take it nice and slow and follow each step. Elsewhere on the site are reviews of various Roms. Enjoy!
