The CA Proline stuff is pretty nice, however it is rather highly priced when compared with many other better brands. Externally they're pretty good; just about on par with G&P in my opinion, though their internals wouldn't be as nice (note: I didn't use the word 'reliable' :P)

Personally I would go for either VFC or G&P, as I have been far more impressed with their AR-style rifles both internally and externally. There's not much in it price wise either.

Classic Army Proline is by no means a bad buy...but I would say that it is overpriced

ah see i would be fairly a hater of g&p internals :p id be able get the classic army for 320 that seems ok price to me. would you know the good points and bad points for classic army internals?

Ah sure if you've had a bad experience with G&P then you'd never truly be happy with their XM177, as you'd end up looking for problems.

The Classic Army @ €320 isn't too shabby. Performance isn't that great though - you're looking at circa 16rps on a 9.6v NiMh battery. If I remember correctly you're looking at 7mm metal bushings, and decent strength gears - their pistons are decent enough stock, though not as durable as the likes of CYMA's. Compression on any of the proline gearboxes I've had cross my path have been mediocre; they were roughly the equivalent of DBoys...so not great on that front.

Overall they're grand, but just not as good as others in their price bracket. However I wouldn't worry about it too much; parts can be replaced (very cheaply at that :))
