Is that an average price for a filling or is it just dependent on the dentist I attend? How much should I expect to pay please??

    Thanks :D

I think it varies. Im paying 130eur at moment for white fillings in the city centre ~ I've been told that I'm being ripped off.

(I will be moving as soon as my last set of fillings go in.....all to save on the cost of having a new dentist xray me and say I need more!!!)

A lot of surgeries will have their prices advertised on their sites..

Price will vary on size of filling required(sml, medium, large), type of filling material used(amalgam, composite, ect), qualifications of dentist (specialists charge more), running/operating costs & overheads ect.
All dentists are now obliged to display their respective range of prices for fillings& other treatments. If a practice doesn't have a website, you can ring or visit to check the minimum& maximum charge applicable, once you've been seen clinically an exact quote can be given

I paid 60 EUR for a white filling in Spain. Anyone who goes into Dublin city center should expect to get ripped off, logically. Also, Dentists in Ireland charge you to view your teeth beforehand - in most European countries it's free. At least in Spain anyway.

If you're good at something never do it for free.....

Maybe it's covered as part of public health? I'd to go to A and E while abroad recently and it was free, I was shocked

There are some excellent dentists in Dublin city centre, my own included, and his prices have come down the last few years.

And as fitzgeme (i think) says in his sig, sometimes it's not just price, it's value that individuals offer, my dentist cured me of a severe phobia to the extent that I will happily go in and see him now compared to seven years ago when I waited two years for a filling after an initial consultation due to fear.
