Wifi on newer xbox's

i currently have an elite 120gb its about 2 and half years old working ok gone a little loud recently


i need to move the xbox away from the router and dont want cables running everywhere

i bought the black wifi adapter but the connection with it seems poor i know its not my internet i have 100meg from magent and when it was plugged into the router it was fine

it especially seems poor for streaming films from my computer stuttering

so long story short just wondering if the in built wifi on the new xbox's is any better

also anyone know how much i could expect to get if i trade in my elite

Have you your ports forwarded on the router for the xbox?

If not, I'd do that - and give your xbox a static IP.

Had a few minor connection issues a while ago and that sorted it out nicely.

Is there many other wireless devices in your home? Other gaming consoles?

It wouldn't just depend on your internet speed in regards to lag or slow performance.

As the guys said, there are many networking settings that can be changed to improve the communications between your router and your console..

They are brilliant, have 3 of em in my house. 1 in the hall at my router acting as the main link, 1 behind the tv. 1 in the corner for my pc.

All ya need is a socket and your sorted. Have the one behind the tv plugged into an unmanaged switch cos i need a few connections
