George Entwhistle (BBC DG) Resigns

This is the second DG in Britain that has rightly resigned over broadcasting incorrect details implicating innocent parties of sexual abuse...

... I'm reminded of the Prime Time programme that went out in the recent past implicating, incorrectly, a certain priest of paedophilia. The DG of RTE issued an apology and there was no more said about it.

Anyone else think RTE DG, Nick Curran - who, may I add, the book stops with and ultimately makes ALL decisions within the broadcaster - should have resigned at the time? Makes me sick that they pretty much can say what they want and continue reaping the rewards whilst others are left to try rebuild their lives... after allegations like that it must be VERY difficult.
