Has anyone noticed more creeping buttercup the last few years? I think it thrives in wet ground, so that would make sense what with the 'summer' we just had.

Really spread in a few fields here. Thinking of spraying with MCPA next March/april.

    Anyone sprayed for it before?

I could be blowing it out me hole completely here but I think it could be something to with lack of lime.

Yes I've heard this, but the whole place was done for lime only 2years ago.

The MCPA should hit any young docks too among other stuff, so I'm thinking can't go wrong spraying.

Won't do any harm esp if you have other weed problems. Is MCPA a bit hard on clover or is this an issue for you?

How much lime did you use/acre?

Avg of 2T/acre as recommended by soil tests.
Well I'm open to other chemical suggestions! But buttercup so bad it's choking the bit of clover there anyway :o

Mountain Mayo, I noticed you have a new thread about this in the sheep sub-forum. As this is an old thread you opened with this post, I will leave the new thread open instead & close this one.
