I am looking for what might possibly be wrong with the car before going to the garage with it. I have had it 6 months & it was serviced prior to purchase.

2lt Petrol automatic 130k kms on clock

Car has not been running right the last few weeks when cold. it seems to be shifting hard/late until warmed up, always started first time until now.

it is also not 'creeping' when cold (i.e. car should just drive very slowly when in drive without acc pedal pressed)

a few days ago it started fine but would not shift from P to D. eventually shifted into D when engine temp went up.

Yesterday it would not start, starter motor is ticking over but engine is not firing, so at least we can rule out the battery.

I have been meaning to have the tranny looked at in an auto trans specialist but i am now thinking (hoping) the transmission may not be the problem at all...

    Any advice/thoughts on this?
    Thanks in advance
