    Building my first PC here so I'm totally clueless :o

    Standard questions first of all;

    1. What is your budget? [€800]

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming (Any game really, Skyrim, Minecraft, The Sims 3 etc.), 3D Modelling/animation, Software engineering, programming, Image editing, anything related to games development really, web browsing.]

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Yes]

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [Nope, Current PC is a fossil :rolleyes:]

    5. Do you need a monitor? [No]

    5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? [1366x768] [Maybe, see below]

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [No]

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [No]

    8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Laser]

    9. When are you purchasing? [Roughly 1 month]

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [Hopefully I wont :P]

    So I've started a course in computing in games development and the computer I have now is practically useless for anything other than java programming.

    Regarding the monitor, I'm looking for a recommendation as to whether or not I should get a new one, so open to any suggestions :) If you want to recommend a monitor, you can do so without adding it in to the cost of the PC itself.

    Budget's a tad flexible depending on the value regarding performance/future-proofing.
    Other than that, all help appreciated, thanks :)
