    I want one of these to use to do that ferro-liquid trick,
    but I want to buy it in a shop, not off tinterent, anyone know
    where to go for one ? in Limerick area. Wasn't sure which forum to
    put this in ....

    I tried it before. The most difficult part is to make the ferrofluid rather than magnets. You can use a disc or block magnets to do that.

    There is a company near Bristol that sell used electromagnets for cheap. I got a quote off them years ago when i wanted to manipulate ferro-fluid for some audio visual stuff.
