Going from inactive to active nursing register

I've a question on behalf of my mother - she's looking at returning to practice as a nurse (she's registered with An Bord Altranais but has been inactive for the last 15 ish years). I'm wondering does she need to undergo a return to practice course (i'm assuming she does) and where are they run? The An Bord Altranais website doesn't really give much information about it. Thanks in advance.

I think she will find it all fairly depressing at the moment but still, I am sure she knows that. Don't know for definite but her best bet would be to ring up the Nursing Admin office of a local hospital (even if she doesnt want to work there, they should have the answer). It would probably mean working shifts for nothing for length of course (if anywhere is running them).
