Saorview Channels Gone

    Hi, i saw the ads for transmitter changes and i did a re scan and i still cant get my channels back. im in wexford and im wondering what my transmitter would be? Thanks

    You should be receiving from Mt. Leinster. If you can do a manual retune, try channel 23. If it only accepts the frequency, try 490 MHz.

    When was the aerial installed? The previous UHF channel used at Mt Leinster for Saorview was 45 (Group B or wideband aerial), the new UHF channel is 23 (Group A or wideband aerial). Do you know which group/type of aerial you are using?

    Er, no. Ch 23 should have a group A aerial. Wideband aerials are low gain in the group A channels especially as low as ch23.

    Low gain but still usable, I have used a wideband aerial for Mullaghanish Ch 21 without problem. Works better than an indoor aerial for Mullaghanish at my location.
