Dont forget to look at whelans place in Ennis on the way aswell. I dont know much about him but judging by the amount of new masseys appearing around here lately id say he doesnt like to see you leaving the yard until he has made a sale.

Seefinn Motors in Holymount, Mayo. They seem to have a lot of Massey's for sale. Don't know anything about them.

Whelan's have a place at Ennis Mart now too. Mainly spare parts, but they keep a few tractors there aswell.

Brogan on the Galway rd., Tuam, usually has a good bit of stuff. You could try the lad on the Claremorris rd. just outside Balla, or the lad in Ballyheane outside Castlebar (their names escape me!) Mulchrones in Westport, Brogan in Frenchpark, lad in Ballymoe also.

Take a look on the ptt website for west of ireland dealers, some prices quoted:

The Farm and plant website might be worth a look though not sure if its up to date:

For your budget you should pick up a MF4255, 95hp with loader 2002ish.

Bought a 92 mf 4255 4wd with mf/quickie softride joystick loader 3007 hours from Seefin Motors last April. One owner machine which came in from Scotland. He put the loader on it for us. Nice comfortable machine and happy with it. He gave a 3 mth guarantee with it and was sound and straight to deal with. €25,200.

He was recommended to us by Padraic O' Hare trailers in Kilmaine who lives nearby. (We have had a number of deals with O Hare for trailers over the past 15 years)

This guy is pretty close to Kilmaine, so if you're checking out Mc Hales you could give him a shout too.

I've been in around whelan's in both locations and I found them grand to deal with. They have been in Kilrush a while so they survive on their reputation, if you know what I mean.

Wouldn't say that Whelan's survive on their reputation. They carry huge stock of tractors & spare. Always seem to be looking to expand there range. Have now opened in Loughrea.
