Ch-ch-ch-changes! Mod update!

Just to let you all know, Malice has stepped down as Cmod of music and as such, mod of this forum and the wanted/available forum.

I would like to take this time to say publicly, thank you for all the work you've done with this forum in the last few years. We wouldn't have got the sub-forum of ads if it wasn't for your persistence. You've also been a great sounding board for me when I had some pretty out there ideas!

Hopefully someday I'll get to Galway and buy you a pint

Best of luck Malice, you've been a pleasure to work with, and I truly hope you stick around the forum as your knowledge of what it's like being in a band is vast and the advice you can offer is valuable to many.

I'd like to echo all the above sentiments. Although you have never met a person face to face, you always know when you get good vibes from someone.

Such was my experience with Malice.

I was hoping to just shuffle off to the side quietly but I guess I'd better say (or at least write) a few words first. For a start, thanks for the kind words folks. It's a cliché and I'm sure I've written this a few times over the last few years but it's the users that make a forum. The moderators are just there to keep things ticking over. On relatively specialised forums like this it's really them who should thank you for making things pretty easy to moderate overall. If people would post musician wanted or available ads in the correct place then the amount of work required would drop even further .

So, thanks also to you folks who make things easier on the moderators by not trolling, spamming or getting personal in arguments with each other.

Hmm, not sure about that. I know plenty about getting a band started up and past the "jamming in the garage" stage to the first gig or two. After that I know nothing because none of the bands I've been in have ever gotten further than that .

That is a shame. Great mod and came across as a great guy as well. Is a fellow bass player too so yet another reason to like him.
