Well after telling herself for the last year and half to change the car while it still had a bit of value left in it, I had that 'told you so' moment yesterday. Engine seized, and not worth putting a new engine into a 12 year old golf so just wondering now what the story is with scrapping the car. Is it worth trying to see if any garage would take it for parts or should I just go with a scrappage company? All info welcomed
    Thanks,

put in donedeal for 200 euro, somebody will offer you 100 or 150 euro, just make sure new owner and you sign logbook, and you send it to Shanon.
some times people, who have some crash with same age /engine car, body is gone, or too rusty to repair, but engine in good nick, your car would be like a Gods gift :)

Yeah put it up on a few sites and see. Otherwise just ring local places to collect it, make sure you get an end of life certificate.

just make sure, you not hand over log book, no any circumstances give it away with buyer , just give it, if he wants compare win number and ownership identity, also to put his name down, address and signature, thats it, no reason new owner have an old logbook, dont trust " .. ahh, will be grand, we will post tomorrow first thing in morning . "

Ah yeah I'll be getting the buyer to fill out the necessary transfer of ownership forms and I'll be posting them to Shannon myself.....save him the trouble :D

I didn't put it up on donedeal. Didn't have any photos handy either, so was a bit of a rush job posting it up
