Goodmans GDB300HD Soarvire or Freeview, not both?

    The Goodmans HD set top box model GDB300HD seems to only let you see the Saorview channels, or the Freeview channels but not both.

    It tunes in all channels, then asks for a region, and depending on what you pick, it will only show either the RTE channels, or the UK channels.

    Is there some way to get around this?

    I just bought one of these and am now wondering the same thing - can anyone help? I have perfect reception on both sets of channels but to have to do a full retune to toggle between Irish and UK channels is a pain in the a*** :(

    Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

    I bought three boxes made by Harvard, two Alba Freeview HD boxes and the Goodmans model above which you bought all with the same version firmware and I have the same problem unfortunately and saw no resolution on the internet yet. Maybe contact Harvard International PLC who manufactured them for a service menu code? Secret menu code? It is a real pain and I gave one to my Dad also who asked me a week ago about whether anything could be done about only being able to choose one region at a time. Same boxes but a different chassi basically and slight handicapped by this stupid problem. Great picture and sound quality using both scart and HDMI though.
