Multi fuel truck, fuel excise?

I was watching Doomsday Preppers and in one of the episodes a couple had a multi fuel Deuce and a half. It can run on pretty much anything and they where running it on filtered burnt oil.

What would be the revenue implications for running something similar here? Would love to get one of these to use as a motorhome, would be cheap to run if you could get fuel for free from any garage you pass.

I have a friend who runs an M35A1 Reo (what your first link is) on contaminated fuel for free from a local recovery operator.

There's no tax implications as duty has already been paid by the eejits that put the wrong fuel in their car and had it drained out.

Any idea on running on waste engine oil. No duty has been paid, or has it?

I saw that episode as well, interesting alright, but I was wondering does anyone know if a waste license is required to get waste oil from garages?

officially you would have to pay excise duty on any oil that you wanted to use in your camper but i sure if you were creative you could pay excise on a token amount
