No voice in Google now

I've just started playing with google now and I like it alot.

However, I don't hear any voice output when I ask it anything.

I have alot of stuff disabled in titanium so I'm sure its something to do with that.

Does anyone know what I need to defrost in order to get the voice output?

Change the language to English UK or US.

Do you have 'PicoTTS' or 'TTS Service' disabled? Any of the services starting with Google?

None of them are disabled and the only ones I've disabled in the Google line are google+ and Gmail.

Can't seem to find the culprit.

Have you checked everything is okay in settings in Google now?

Language is set properly? Speech output set to Always? Are you connected to the internet?

All the above is properly configured.

Mine started talking when I changed the language default to English UK.

This is a weird one.. What do you have frozen in TB?

Come out of Google Now. Press Menu, Settings, Language and Input, Text to Speech output. Make sure Google Text-to-Speech Engine is checked. Press the Setting button next to that make sure English (UK) is checked. Press back and then you should be able to listen to an example. If you don't hear anything try pressing the volume rocker.

If that doesn't play it is likely something in TB blocking it.

Don't know if this is related, but on my Nexus S, some of the Google Now responses that used to be spoken, like asking it "Is it raining" stopped when it upgraded to 4.1.2

The only way I can get voice responses now is by asking "What is" E.G. "What is a dog"

Perhaps, the version of Google Now affects the repsonses?

Anyone spotted and errors in the updated Google now?

The last update messed up a few things for me.
Just one is I use to be able to set my alarm just telling Google now to "set alarm for 5 minutes" and it would set if for 5 minutes from the time is question but now saying this sets it for 5pm! Even though it shows on the screen it did understand everything I just said! That has to be a error.

Would love to be able to set the countdown timer the same way, something like "countdown timer 5 minutes" and it just goes from there.

Looks like Google have changed something recently.
I'm having the same issue on all my nexus devices 4, 7 and 10

    UPDATE
I've gone into settings ,apps. and cleared both the data and the cache in the Google search app
    Seems to have fixed it.
