how to know if there's a gas hookup in kitchen

Hey folks, currently have an electrical cooker and would love to get a gas one instead. Thing is I don't know if we have a gas hookup point in the kitchen or not, can't really afford to get one installed from scratch.
Can anyone let me know how I would be able to tell if there's an existing connection there? (we have a gas boiler in the house)

You would need to pull out the cooker and see if there is a blanked copper pipe in the region of the cooker.
Also check the gas pipe that is to your gas boiler. It may have a pipe teed off it below the boiler that is heading off to the cooker area.
Check with neighbours, do they have gas cookers? If so, did they have to route new pipe work to it or was it already there? If not, the yours is likely to be similar.
