    Hi -

Could anyone help me with this issue. I've noticed recently that BBC 3 & 4 is not showing anything on my Saorview HD Combi. I have done a re-tune and still nothing appears. I have noticed that they were advertising on TV that is you live in the Leinster area a re-tune was to be done on your box, which I have done and nothing.

BBC 3 & 4 was showing last week or the week before and now nothing. Is their a manual way I can tune this in?

    Any help and suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks
    :)

You need to rescan your satellite channels. You dont have to recan the lot, just the one with the new BBC frequencies off the satellite (oh and delete the old one)

    Hi -

I'm not having any problem with Channel 5 just BBC 3 & 4 - I think it may have something to do with this re-tune and maybe after all the updates are done it might sort itself out by the end of the week, but its just a little annoying, as the other week we had the channel and now we don't .....?

Hopefully someone may have some useful tips and hints.

    K

menu buttom, settings , general , manual satellite tune , then putting in codes for channels as per STB link...
mind you my channels seem to be all over the place though have to resort... maybe theres a way to do it without scrambling them all !!

I've edited the title before the first person points out that BBC Three isn't actually on Saorview.

What type box is it ?

Make sure that when you are scanning with the correct information.

    Freq 10818 Symbol Rate: 22000 Polarisation: H

Thats the terrestrial menu (off aerial).

Tell me you have a satellite dish connected to this box.

No this has no Satellite dish connected to it - its direct off the aerial.

Thats why the instructions dont work for you :)

You need to be clear as to what you are using and what we are discussing.

Combi/Combo Box = Saorview off aerial, UK stations off satellite combined. That is the purpose of the box.

So you are getting some UK channels off the aerial. That is overspill from the UK and cannot be depended upon.

I've got BBC 4, but no BBC 3. I followed the instructions for retuning, entered a new Transponder at 10108, SR 22000, Pol: H, scanned and found nothing. No TV channels, no radio.
I have a SV-400 combi box, which I bought from Currys this week. And it is connected to a dish. It has every other channel fine, only BBC3 missing.
(Actually, BBC news, which is at the same position as BBC3, is not there, where that should be is BBC Alba text. Also, CBBC doesn't seem to be there, also at the same position.)

    Any advice would be appreciated.

That tp you entered doesn't exist. BBC3 is on 10818 V, SR 22000.

Sorry, just to correct myself, I was searching on 10818, H, SR 22000. That's obviously no good either.
I tried the above TP, and I got CBBC and BBC News, but no BBC 3, or no BBC 4 (I made a mistake above, I thought I had BBC4 but don't). Maybe I need to search in the evening when they're on the air? Otherwise I have no idea why I can't get them.

CBBC becomes BBC3 after 7. Do another scan then

    bbc 3 and 4 were moved to astra 1n 28.2 E

you will need to add that satellite to your list then scan these two transponders

    Astra 1N (28.2° East)
    Transponder 45
    Frequency: 10.77325 GHz
    Horizontal polarisation
    Modulation: DVB-S, QPSK
    Symbol rate: 22.0 Mbaud
    FEC 5/6

    BBC Four

    Astra 1N (28.2° East)
    Transponder 48
    Frequency: 10.81750 GHz
    Vertical polarisation
    Modulation: DVB-S, QPSK
    Symbol rate: 22.0 Mbaud
    FEC 5/6

    BBC Three

They moved to Astra 1N ages ago. The receiver doesn't care what the satellite is called, as long as it's getting a signal & you tune it to the correct frequency.

Got them all now, thanks for all the advice. It seemed that I did have to wait until after 7pm to try to tune them in.
