Buying 3DS XL in Hong Kong

    Hi I have an oportunity which may mean that I can get a 3ds XL from Hong Kong. It's for my young fella for Xmas and I'm not into gaming so I don't know much about the subject.
    My questions are
    Is it worth it (I'm not sure how much it's going to be does anyone here have a guide price)
    Will it be region locked?
    Any other pros and cons?

    Yeah, they're region locked, so unless you intend to be buying him all the games from that region, it's definitely not worth it.

    (Unless he wants to learn Chinese/Japanese?)
