Hi lads, goin picking out a swift at w end, just wondering what would be a favoured round for foxing. 55gr v max? or are there any other i should look out for. I know match the best grouping to the rifle but is there much of a selection ammo wise in the country. thanks

Hornady V-max moly 50 grain or 55grain are good! Federal 52grain hollow points are a great round, they dont do massive damage likte the balistic tips but whatever they hit goes down! I think the hornady bullets are now cheaper than the federal (it used be the other way around) your looking at closer to €40 now for swift bullets im afraid. I have seen remington soft points in a few shops but nver fancied them to be honest!

You couldn't go wrong with Federal or Hornady. I found the 55 grain Moly V-max accurate. I think I was paying 35euro at the most for them. I'd use the lightest for the foxing. Flatter it shoots the better. They punch out good energy in any grain. I went with the Moly coated rounds as I kinda feared copper fowling but don't think it makes a pin of difference. It will burst any fox. Allow a couple of minutes after each shot while zeroing as they do heat up abit

38 is too much. 35 euro is about the price of them. I often got them at 32euro a box as I was buying alot of rounds of my dealer
