    Hi,

I have just moved to the Churchtown area and I plan on cycling to and from work. Anyone know the safest route from Churchtown to North Wall Quay?

    Thanks,

    A

I commute from there every day. I would be starting off at Nutgrove ave. then on to Rathfarnham castle, down the valey and up into Terenure, then just keep straight ahead through Harolds Cross on to Patrick street, down at Christchurch and take a right on to the keys. From the keys there could a few alternatives but I wouldn't know them since my commute ends at around O'Connel bridge.

Going back is similar, just College Green and Dame street can be a bit daunting at first.

    Hi A,
I go from near Mount Carmel hospital to Grand Canal Dock every morning, taking minor roads and the canal path. If you want to meet up and have me show you (most of) the way, just send me a PM. I've been "bike buddy" for the Women on Wheels group/DCC, so happy to help out if I can!
