D4 Events are delighted to announce the launch of ACOP (Amateur Championships Of Poker) the event will take place on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th January 2013 at The Regency Hotel Dublin.

The aim of the event is to give the recreational player the chance to play in a tournament with all the trappings of a big buy-in event for a modest entry of €200, we will have a live streamed feature table, interviews from throughout the poker room, live updates, professional dealers, floor staff, there will be free giveaways throughout the weekend

Our aim is to qualify all players through a network of pub, club and home games throughout the country and also through weekly online qualifiers. To date the response has been great and we currently have 31 games prepared to qualify players to what promises to be a great event. We are currently uploading the list of live games and venues who are going to run satellites, leagues etc and this will go live on the website within the next 7-10 days.

If you host a game or just play a regular game and want to get involved please do get in touch, we are hoping to make it as easy as possible for players to qualify for this event.

Whats the thinking behind not allowing direct buyins to the ME?

If its a logistical reason you could cut off direct buyins a week beforehand?
