Euro link toll Dublin/Sligo...rip off

    Has anyone else had this experience...if so Eurolink making a small fortune on the side!!!:(....was on motorway from Dublin and heading down Sligo way...went to exact fare toll on motorway...fee for car was meant to be around 2;80 euro....I took change out of front of car,threw in 2;80...only 20 cent registered!....in end had about 5 euro in coins thrown in and it still only showed around 2 euro...pressed the button for assistance......at this stage around 5 cars behind me waiting....woman on intercom says to check change slot...I did...was nothing in it!!!...she mumbled something...cars horns started beeping behind so I said feck this and threw in another euro....and finally got through.....6 euro poorer!!

    Happened to me last weekend on the Cork Fermoy toll, threw in 4x 20cent and the 1 euro at one go. Waited and looked back to see 1 euro registered!
    Pressed the intercom, was told the same as you But I insisted I threw in the above denoms which I had pre arranged on the speedo and checked before putting in. I wasn't paying anymore and sat there, toll barrier was raised without a murmur.
    Next time I went through coming back I put the coins in slowly, simply not worth rushing as their coin machines are not built for speed!
