    hello there i have a next to purebred simmental heifer/cow she calved down this year to a limousin bull and im hoping to AI her again this year i was thinking an easy calving blue or simmental DRU she is by simmental DSV but im not sure which to do i am impressed with the limousin cross but i wasnt impressed with the long gestation (20 days over) i have no time for charolais whatsoever and i would be selling the calves as yearling hopefully whats your thoughts i could only use dovea bulls :rolleyes:

    When you say 20 days over, do you mean 9mths +20 days?

    I find little in gestation length between Ch, Lim and Sim. The BB may buy you a bit of of time alright having a shorter gestation that the others mentioned.

    That's around 290 days. Normal enough I'd say. Wait till your at 300 days and still no calf!
