Liverpool Rugby Pub?

Hi, I'm heading to Liverpool for a booze up with a few lads next weekend.
These boys are all Man U heads and will be stuck in one pub for the villa match at 5.30 on Saturday. Trouble is I'm a rugby nut and am looking forward to the Ireland vs SA game which is also on at 5.30.

Can anyone recommend a good central rugby pub in Liverpool which I could slope off to for 90 min or so?

    Thanks.

I think O'Neills on Hanover St would be the most likely. Very central- drop in and ask earlier in the day. If you jump a taxi you will make it there after the Everton game;)

Paddy a bar up near line street station, nice bar good pint. They will have it on. Just go up to The Lord Nelson hotel and its at the end of the road. Don't let the outside fool you, it's lovely local feel to it inside.

Thanks for the tip. Went to a lot of pubs over the two nights (and days) and this by far was the friendliest. Lovely pint too.

Glad you enjoyed it, little gem of a bar alright. Always spend the day in there on a Sunday if I've been over for a sat game.
