Hi guys,I have been tasked by our local club to take the keepers training 1 night a week,Played in goal for them a few years back & played a bit with the GAA team.

I have looked up alot of drills etc.. online and such but i was wondering is there such thing as an FAI goalie training badge or something like that?

You do the intro course and work your way up,not sure its what you are looking for if you are only doing it once a week for the local club. Are you getting paid?

Sorry I can't offer you any insight but take a loot at these cool drills and try and implement a few?

If nothing else it's just a cool video!

Well yes, you have to get the basic foundations and work your way up. Gotta learn to walk before you run and all that. :)

The one key thing I'll say to you:

Do not make people go through a crap load of shuttles before taking a shot, it is absolutely pointless. Have 1 or 2 sharp movements followed by a shot.

You can never do enough of the basics. Standing facing forward, take 10 shots. Turn left, 10 shots. Turn right, 10 shot. Basics are the key.

This guy knows what he's talking about, he's an excellent keeper who has obviously been coached extremely well.
