Connect a usb mp3 player to mixing desk?

Hi. That mixer has no mention of a usb, but if you buy a mini jack to rca cable you can connect the mp3 player into the Tape In on the top right of the desk, since you don't want to use a channel. So it's

Mini-jack into headphone on the mp3 player/ipod then rca into the desk.

Beside the lights there's a gain knob for Tape Level.

Ah. that would be a more logical way of doing it alright!!! even better as it wont take up a channel on the desk!! much appreciated! I shall try it out. I actually think i have a mini jack to rca lead....somewhere...you know, one of them boxes... or cases...or bags.....somewhere....... :)
    Thanks again
