Has anybody been to Kildare Village?

My birthday is during the Christmas period and since I have no idea what I want this year, my mum was thinking of going down to Kildare Village. Is the outlet any good? Is only small discounts, random sizing/bad stock/last season stock?

I intend to go to Tommy Hilfiger, Superdry, Jack Wills and Ted Baker while I'm there and I also heard you can get discounted Ray Bans in one of the shops? Would like to hear everybody's experiences of the place so I can see if it's worth visiting :)

It is one of the best outlet centres/villages I've seen of the many I've been to in the States or here/UK. The array of brands and the appearance of the centre (the individual shopfronts and streets have almost a theme park/Disneylandish look which is actually quite appealing/quaint). I find the stores lay out their clothes neatly and uncluttered like the high street stores unlike some outlet centres that can look like warehouse clearance jumble sales.

You can get some good bargains if you know the product you are comparing it to at what would have been full price on the high street. I've picked up some good stuff at great knock down prices in the Ted Baker/Polo Ralph Lauren/Levis outlets.

PS, if you like Italian food, I recommend the Dunne and Crescenzi restaurant for a bite to eat after all your purchases!

A lot of the stores get deliveries on Thursday, so Friday afternoon is a good time to shop as the new stock is on the floor.

I find it can be hit or miss - sometimes I buy loads, other times I don't see anything. Just be aware it's freezing outside the shops - wide open space and the wind seems to howl through it!!

Ohh you make it sound so exciting! I miss outlet shopping in the states! Is it up to date stock like their normal branches or is it more last season?

It tends to have decent stuff.

I find Banbridge can be better, they have less stores though.

Check them both out and see what they have going on?

I'm not a fan of it at all to be honest, I never really see any nice stuff there at all. Doesn't compare to outlets in America at all but it's decent enough by Irish standards.

I like it. I usually buy handbags in Radley, you get leather stuff for decent price. I find Munich brand of sporty shoes cool, so I would usually check those two shops. It can be a bit hit and miss but you do get good quality materials like silk or wool for ok prices.

In comparison to cheaper high street brands the quality is much better and tailoring possibly a bit more classic and less "trendy". I think they target more 30+ market.
