Can anyone recommend a place that is really good at Car Audio? I just need a head unit & Parrot bluetooth system put in, but it's into an Audi with a Bose system and they are notorious for giving interference. I need someone good who can make it work. Preferably south Dublin. Any recommendations?

There's a place in Ranelagh on Sandford Road called I.C.E. who do lots of work with Audi amplified systems. Ask for Shahrokh or Amir. Northside you could try Safesounds in Drumcondra or Scansounds in Phibsboro, both are quite close to city centre.

MDS palmerstown. I saw the Radio Nova hummer in there one day. That thing is a huge yoke so they must be good.

They're actually fairly poor. Quality of work isn't good and I've used them more than once (out of necessity)

What model Audi is it? Depending on the mmi version and head unit in it it might be very troublesome! Or it could be simple. The Bose system is only an upgraded amplifier and speakers so wouldn't make a major difference compared to the entry level system.

It's a 2001 Audi TT Quattro - has a Bose System with a tape deck - not sure of exact details though. I found some posts on the Audi TT Forum, that said using Ground Loop Isolators will eliminate interference but its weird how some get it and others dont. I just want to make sure I get a guarantee that they will make it work and fix it if it does not!

Not sure what the 2001 system is, in my 2005 it uses a fibre optic ring that connects the whole system together. The only solution I had was to get a guy from the uk to fit my iPod integration, as none of the after market kits work, it has to be the oem part.

I second I.c.e in Ranelagh, I dropped in a few times with questions before I settled on getting the Audi and they are very friend,y and helpful. They have plenty of different head units and blue tooth kits to choose from too

I had an awful experience with ICE in Ranelagh, although it was a few years ago now. I've found Dave Robinson (DR Car Audio) tidy and well-priced - he comes to you.

lol that's the worst reason ever to think a company are good!

Sure Quinn direct probably insured the hummer, so they must be good too :D

Sorry for dragging up an old thread. I'm looking to get something similar done. I can get the parrot kit and connector online for about €150,could anyone give me a ballpark figure for installation? I'm trying to decide if its worth it or will I just stick to the headphones for the times being

Usually independent installers ask around 50-70 euros more or less to install a straight forward kit like that. Halfords install them for 35 euros when you buy from them.
Some cars are more problematic than others with the radio/amplifier in the boot, in that case you need a 5m extension and remove a lot of trim to bring the wires all the way to the front. In that case installers will charge more.
