I can't get channels on the triax 212 box. It turns on and it starts to look for channels in the auto search bit but none are found and it says 'database empty'. Can anyone help?
    Thanks.

    Thanks.

I had a similar problem the other day.

I had the older model 112 originally and it was very good at getting saorview on a low signal.

I gave the 112 to a relative thinking the 212 would be just as good but better since it has the twin tuner. Not knowing the 212 is not as good on a low signal.

Just to say I have signal strength 60% and quality around 40% on this TV.

(Spoke to customer support in Walker about their box. He said they need a signal of 75%.)

If you get the box going the 'info' button will give the signal info.

I got 'Database Empty' too at the start. I checked another Triax and the only setting difference was the SPDIF delay was at 25. (I found afterwards this is to do with sound so why it temporarily worked I don't know?)

Scanned the channels. But no picture.

    Unplugged the aerial and HDMI.

Tried again. Got a picture but then it broke up after a short while.

I have a splitter in the attic for 3 TVs - I thought I would have to put in a digital amplifier.

One of the cables was not been used, swapped cables around and that fixed the problem.

So what I am trying to say you probably need to improve the signal.

Do you have any other TVs working off your aerial? Could you try the 212 on another TV?

What kind of aerial are you using?

There are no such things as digital aerials or digital amplifiers etc., etc.

I have no idea to be honest. How can I check the signal? On the box itself there are a few blue lines - in pictures it has a number there.

Used the wrong term. What I meant was a "TV Distribution Amplifier". Like this:-

What have you plugged into the receiver's RF-in socket?

It's a lead that used to go into a circular socket in the wall. It's connected to the aerial (I think).
Edit: got it working thanks for the help.
