Following on the spirit and camaraderie of Greystones Summer Project, a new Youth Club is opening on Fri 9th Nov at Swann Hall, St Patricks Church from 8-10 pm. All Secondary students are welcome whether they've been involved with the GSP before or not. It will be run by young people 18 and over, with the opportunity for 16 -18 yr olds to be Junior Leaders. We are very grateful to the very successful CYB Club in Bray for their advice and suggestions. A full programme of theme nights, music/dance, discos etc is envisaged in an alcohol free environment.

The best of luck with the new club. It's badly needed in the area. I felt sorry for the teenagers on Halloween night, those who had outgrown the trick or treat dressing up fun, or felt they had, and were just wandering around the housing estates in large numbers. There really wasn't much for them to do. The club would be just great for them.

Hi OscarsMum, yes it's only for secondary students - allowing any younger would be off putting for older teens.
