An Irish American goes to Ireland to find love, but finds the grass isn't always greener - even in Ireland.

Good Jaysus this looks awful. Looks very cheap and the trailer is waaaay too long.

Colm Meaney, Fred Williard and Martin Maloney can do better than this.

It looks like it was filmed on a phone.

It looks to be the kind of inoffensive trash certain American audience will lap up. Real shame that something like this will no doubt get a decent foreign release while many of the great films were producing right now won't see the inside of a cinema outside these shores.

It's been made for Irish Anericans, in particular those who will lecture you on how much more Itish they are than you even though they're not sure if it was their great, great or great, great, great grandmother who came to America from these fair isles. America is an odd place when it comes to the Irish, there's bars where if you open your mouth and they hear the accent you won't be allowed to buy a beer all night. You'll be asked if you know Seany O'Reilly from Cork or is it Clare and if you still eat potatoes for every meal. It can be quite surreal at times especially when you're in Boston and some randomer with some odd Irish accent comes up to you ank asks how the struggle is going.

From that trailer it looks to be an Ed Burns film minus the production values, decent performances and half way passable script. Burns better get cracking in his Irish set film before this one steals his thunder.

Last time I was in America and somebody realised I was from Ireland they asked me if I was in the IRA :pac:

I just told them I was sent to America to send home burgers from this strange place called McDonalds.

Anyways, that's looks horrific, to an Irish person anyways but I'm sure the Yanks will lap it up. To bay shure, to bay shure............tora lora.............

    It's got one positive.

The Irish characters are played by Irish people. Apart from that, I've got nada. It looks terrible.

Two positives. Fred Willard is in a movie called "the yank". The jokes practically write themselves.
