Is the 2012 thread not a pretty good indication of which ones are recommended by boardsies?

The Orwell Randonee, while a tough little bugger of a 135k, is a brilliant and friendly outing early on in the season. Really sets you off in the right direction for an active summer, and cake. Lots of really good cake.

Slieve Gullion Wheelers have an 80k sportive in March/April every year.
Starts in Silverbridge, out towards Carlingford (food stop in the four seasons) Newry and back.
Usually one of the first sportives of the year.
    Always enjoyable and well attended.

"Lap the Lough", around Lough Neagh is about an hour from you. Great day out.
If you want a day out with no hills, this is the one for you.
About 140K, and I repeat, NO hills. Lovely.

Not much to look at though, I thought it was a bit dull.

    Poison Glen Tour

    Tour of Knockalla

    Harvest Fair Tour

All in Donegal with stunning scenery, it makes all the uphills worthwhile.
