Triax TX10 - Can't tune in Saorview

    My friend has this box Triax TX10 - Had a look earlier - I'm pretty sure it's a combo box as it has input for both an aerial and satellite dish. However, can't tune in saorview to the box (freesat is ok). On the 'installation' menu there is no option for 'terrestrial scan' like I see on my Ariva.
    Any ideas how to get saorview going?
    Not much info online about this box, could be an old enough one.

    It's a satellite receiver only.

    thanks, that would explain it.

    another thing...he has a dvd recorder but can only record the freesat channels...is there any way to set it up so he can record saorview too?
    he has saorview tuned in to the tv so has to switch source to watch it

    Somebody might correct me on this but with saorview boxes, they are only PVR ready which means they can only record to the USB connection - either your USB stick or external hard drive. I have a DVD recorder which won't work with my soarview box.

    Is that the same with saorview TVs?

    What make/model is your TV?

    it's not a saorview but a freesat box (UK Channels)...doesn't have a usb either on it

    Check the DVD recorder's external channel to see if the programme being viewed on the tv is available via the scart connection.
