Static IP address for broadband with eircom?

    HI,

    I am a current customer on BB with eircom - (landline)

    I have a home NAS that i would like to be able to access when away from the home, but my external IP address keeps changing.

    Does eircom offer a static IP address for customer who want it?

    Hi Access

    There is a one off charge of €50 to set up a static IP address with eircom.

    Or you can call the eircom NET department: - eircom net 1800 203204

    Select option 1

    Next select option 2

    Then finally select option 3

    And they can issue the order for you directly.

    Do you need an IP to be able to access the box? Could you not just set up dynamic DNS with NoIP or DynDNS?
    Pay me €25 for the advice, and you are still saving €25 :D
