    Hi all,

I'm a newly qualified architect (unfortunately says you) and i'm looking to learn about the procedures of fire cert applications and DAC's etc.

I was hoping that there might be a night course or something but there doesnt seem to be.

I have been reading through the building regs (rivetting) but i'd like to find more hands on information about how to put certs together etc.

even if there was a good book or something that i could seek out that'd be great!

    Thanks for any help

    B

CIT do a building regs cpd course every now and then. They go through fire cert applications and dac's as well.

I would say ring up a few IT's in dublin to see if they do a building reg course. CIT don't have it on their website, letter is generally sent out to industry, i think?

You could call into the DCC offices and ask to view application files. The counter staff in their are quiet helpful I have always found. Explain why you are looking at the files . Nothing like examining real life examples to learn from.

You can not view a fire cert application without written consent from the owner of the building. Nor are you allowed to make copies.
