    Guys,

I was on about this last week but i was wondering could anyone else help, we have a 1.4 2000 ford focus i was having an issue with idle low and slight vibration but we changed the idler and a sensor and it has stopped that, now it is just reving when you clutch coming up to lights or around abouts, it revs to 2.5 revs and sometimes up to 3.5 and then it drops back down, the mechanic i was going to looked at all the pipes and says there is no air coming in anywhere so what could be the problem, going to a new mechanic tomorrrow but would be great to hear others have this problem and how they fixed it.

    Thanks

I would change that vaccum pipe anyway. There could be a crack in the air box or the trottle body might need cleaning.

them vacuum pipes dont need to be letting air in to them they can perish so that the pipe closes in on itself if the pipe is soft this is your problem!!i have changed a lot of these that werent cracked just soft and it fixed the exact issue that you have!!
