Following up on interview?

I know it's quite normal to follow up after having sent a cv to a company. Is it normal to do the same after an interview?

I had an interview 3 weeks ago and was told they would get back to me in 2-3 weeks.

I think it is OK after three weeks to send them a super polite and positive e-mail telling them you felt you would be a good match for the company and are wondering if they have any updates whether they will be proceeding with your application...

If I ever follow up on an email, I normally go for the "feedback" route. I always ask if there is any feedback they can provide me from the interview, as I would like to work on the areas that they felt I needed to improve on.

I would only ask for feedback if they don't give it to you. I'd do what Mr loverman said.

Ill always ask for feedback (admittedly its when I dont get the job) as its shows me what I need to do for the next one. Ive managed to get through to the final round of every interview Ive done (ie last 2 people) so its important for me to know where I let myself down.

I'm in the same boat. Interview went very well, they told me it was the most productive meeting they had had and that they would be in touch in 2 weeks (3 weeks ago now). They had few applicants and were really very nice people so I'm confused as to why I didn't even get a courtesy letter declining my application. Have to say its knocked my confidence a lot.

I was talking to a friend who works there and she told me there were still interviewing others (there's a few positions going) just over a week ago (one of her friends got interviewed) and were told they would know next week.

I used to work for these guy up until early last year, have been back for a few weeks here and there since, the interview was quite casual as I knew both people interviewing me.

If I asked for feedback would that not seem as if I know I didn't get it?
