8 days? But your post history... Ah, you posted about ordering it 4 days ago, I see, my bad.

Bummer. We ordered on the same day so I guess that applies to everyone that ordered this week at the very least. Ah well. As long as they don't cancel it like Google, a few days won't be an issue for you once you're holding the device in your hands.

I ordered last Thursday afternoon and emailed them yesterday to get an update. Emailed me at 2 today saying it would be dispatched in next 24 hours.

    Hopefully have it next Tuesday

I also sent an inquiry into Flubit about when my order (ordered on Tuesday, March 26th) would be shipped and they also said that the bank holiday would throw things back to next week sometime.

Thank you for your order, and I can confirm that your order is currently being processed. Unfortunately due to the bank holiday weekend and the high demand for the Nexus 4 your order will not be dispatched until next week,

I will update you next week with an estimated date, however we are working over the bank holiday weekend and if there is any change in the status I will let you know

    best regards

Got my Nexus 4 today! Me happy! :)

    LOVING it so far!

Only negative is adjusting from amoled to LCD is kinda hard but I'm sure I'll get use to it. however the images on the lcd sre so clear sammy looks dated.

So far it's rocket fast! No, really ROCKET fast! leaving the GS3 in the dust (Even if the benchmarks don't all support that finding)

Ive gone through the whole tunnel bear google wallet shtick and now when I'm in the play store google are asking for a uk phone number before I can proceed

what number are ye entering for this parcel motels?

How's the pinching to zoom problem faring out these days, has it been fixed yet? The touchscreen reaction is/was way slow and it took a few inches of pinching before it started zooming. It is/was due to a bad Synaptics driver, I believe, and the solution is/was to root the device and replace the driver with the second most recent version or install a custom ROM. So unless Google have fixed it, I'll be doing one of those two for definite.

Ok just tested and it's about the same as the Galaxy S3 so I guess it's fine? However the Nexus 4 is a lot smoother at rendering Chrome than the sammy. funny you don't see how choppy the GS3 is until you move on, opening apps, pulling down menus and waiting times don't compare to the N4.

I've watched a sh1tload of videos on YouTube and the pinching was far superior on the Sammy S III. So maybe they've since fixed it. Also, Chrome was about the same on both, but I'll take your word for it as things could have changed (most of the comparison videos were done in 2012, IIRC). That's all awesome to hear!

Just try entering your Irish number or enter a bogus UK number (preferably something that's disconnected). Hopefully they don't require you to have a UK number for real with SMS verification to follow.

Got my other half to run the pinch test on her S3 and my N4 and she also feels they are the same.

Here just for the sake of it is a pic I took this morning with my S3 (With a brand new screen just fitted 4 weeks ago) on the left and the Nexus 4 on the right. It was bright morning and this was taken from inside the car. Brightness was turned up full on both phones.

Like my sole the screen on my nexus four is now shattered

Lovely. Glad to hear it's all good with the ol' pinchin' n' zoomin'.

You really do see pinkish whites on the AMOLED screens. The Nexus 4 wins there, for sure. The only thing I wish about the Nexus screen is that the buttons didn't take up any of the 4.7" as the S III really does look better in that respect.

Is that a screen protector you have on the Nexus or is it the plastic cover that came with it? :P

How'd you manage that? Did you use a screen protector and/or bumper?

Yep it comes with a screen protector front and back, front one would have to replaced I suppose as it has Volume and power markings that some people may not like, (I'm waiting till I get some in the post..) back one has no markings but hods the IMEI number.

Ive seen ROMs that let you get rid of those buttons but in some cases they vanish on their own, like when you have Youtube running. Web browsing I think looks better with the buttons, sounds odd but the screen doesn't feel to long while holding it in landcape... hard to explain.

Took a load of snaps today to test the cam, so far its very good out doors (better than I was expecting anyway. 360 pic thing is fun too.

I hear the S III's camera is a ton better, as it's more on-par with the iCrap 5's (I've seen test shots and videos on YouTube from both, side-by-side and the S III always seems to be much better). I'd like to for once since owning an Android stick with the official ROM. I've flashed my Galaxy S (I9000) to death along with my old ZTE Blade (Orange San Francisco), a new alpha or beta ROM every other week for the last 2-3 years, so I'm tired and want to settle down! The most I'll do is root the Nexus, I'd say. :)

Are you sure those are actually screen protectors and not just the plastic covers that just preserve the screen while in the packaging? I'd get a set of good ones, XtremeGuard's full body one looks like the best.
